• What issues are addressed?:
• The world is changing; women are rising, and although some women feel more empowered than ever, we still have a way to go.
  
  The impossible-to-achieve ideals women have struggled to live up to for decades are now amplified by our wired and overly connected world. With traditional gender values like beauty and compliance and the pressure to be 'perfect', so deeply entrenched in mainstream culture, following the beat of your own drum can be hard. Amidst a barrage of confusing messages coming from all angles, and the added complexity COVID-19 has created, pushing traditional roles to the forefront while in isolation, it is of no surprise that the statistics around negative body image, low self-esteem, family & domestic violence, depression, anxiety are on the rise in women. With no clear end in sight, what will the residual effects be for women and gender equality around the globe?
  
  Tomorrow Woman aligns with SDG 5 - “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.”
• Project Description:
• Equality for women is edging closer, but society still hangs onto old school values. All women are born with a voice, confident & outspoken, unafraid to be heard. But research tells us that in adolescence this voice is lost. Girls become less likely to share opinions and can lose their sense of self.
  
  Tomorrow Woman’s HER CODE & GATHER programs in schools, sports clubs, workplaces & communities get to the heart of issues that women face every day. Unpacking gender stereotypes, internal & external pressures and topics incl. mental load, social media, beauty expectations, relationships & self-talk, nothing is out of bounds! These conversations put women at ease, debunk the myths and show them they’re not alone in their fears & thoughts.
  
  In a time where the definition of ‘woman’ is expanding & evolving, Tomorrow Woman creates safe spaces to REIGNITE girls & women with their innate VOICE, empowering them to confidently express their needs and opinions in the moments that MATTER.

  By providing a safe space for women to build the skills, REIGNITE their VOICE, and practice speaking up in the moments that MATTER, our objective is to drive systems-level change starting with the individual.
  
  It’s our hope that in teaching these skills, women can alleviate suffering or disadvantage individually and as a collective, without relying on government, or social policy.
  
  To provide just a few examples, we aim for women to;
  - Confidently speak up and close the gender pay-gap they may each individually experience;
  - Make positive behavioural change in challenging unhealthy expectations around issues like body image, beauty, social media engagement and gender roles, to name just a few.

  The Tomorrow Woman program is entirely focused on REIGNITING women’s VOICE and providing a platform for women to feel empowered, be themselves and to speak up in the moments that MATTER.
• Media / Promotion?:
• As a relatively new organisation, our media & promotion strategy currently focuses on showcasing the women in our workshops, sharing their stories & their experience of the work across our engaged and growing ?social communities on Facebook? & Instagram? - with growth of 66% & 213% over the past 6 months.
  
  We are also currently seeking media opportunities to build our profile and promote the program further.
• How is success evaluated / measured?:
• Currently, Tomorrow Woman’s ‘Her Code’ secondary school workshop & ‘Gather’ programs for women, are evaluated with immediate, post-workshop surveys to assess attitudinal & intended behavioural changes. Evaluation assessment items include, but aren’t limited to “the negative impact gender stereotypes can have on women”, “confidence in reaching out if participants are struggling”, changing the way participants interact with others”, “confidence in having honest conversations” and “empowerment to have influence and accountability” over how participants show up.
  
  Our evaluations regularly score, on average, above 90% attitudinal change post involvement for females involved in our workshops.
  
  One of our objectives is to partner with an organisation to undertake a definitive, scientifically-validated study that demonstrates actual positive behaviour change post involvement in our workshops.
